Positive thinking is a great tool for building prosperity. But at the end of the day, if we haven’t put those thoughts into action, they can only take us so far. Productivity is an important element in bridging the gap between the prosperity we envision for ourselves, and the actual experience of having it.
My good friend Wit gave me his secret for having the day unfold productively. We call it the Prosperity Exercise, and while it may sound simple, the results can make a powerful difference.
Here goes:
Pick the #1 most important thing you need to accomplish today, and do it first thing. Before breakfast, before shower if possible, and definitely before checking email or voicemail. You may want to decide what’s your first order of business the night before, so you have your work cut out for you when you awaken.
The key is to not think about it, just do it. Typically, our most important task is also the one we have the most resistance to, so it’s the one we’re most likely to make excuses for and put off ‘till last. By ploughing through that resistance, you’re paving the way for the rest of the day to unfold with relative ease….and opening yourself to the experience of greater prosperity.
Best of luck and let me know how it works!
